Terms of Use
What the platform does, what it does not do, and who is responsible for what.
Draft — not yet reviewed.
This page was written from what the platform actually does, but it has not been reviewed or approved by a qualified adviser. Do not rely on it as a binding statement of your rights or ours. If something here matters to a decision you are making, write to info@creditrefpro.com and ask.
These terms apply to everyone using CreditRefPro — borrowers, lenders and employers. Using the platform means accepting them.
1. What CreditRefPro is
CreditRefPro provides technology for financial profiling, credit scoring, loan requests, lender offers, consent records, payroll-deduction administration and repayment tracking.
CreditRefPro does not provide loan funds, accept deposits, hold customer money, guarantee repayment, or collect debts.
Loans are made directly between borrowers and participating lenders. Each lender establishes its own terms, makes its own final lending decision, provides required agreements and disclosures, disburses funds, and manages its borrower relationship. Employers process payroll deductions only after borrower authorization and acceptance under the employer’s payroll procedures.
2. Who may use it
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and the information you give must be your own and accurate. Lenders and employers join by agreement rather than by signing up, and their participation is subject to that agreement as well as to these terms.
Availability varies. Loan availability, offers, repayment methods and platform functions may differ by lender, employer, borrower and location.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and keep the phone or email address that receives your one-time codes secure. A code is proof that whoever holds that device agreed to something, so anyone with it can act as you.
We will never ask you for a code. A code always says what it is for; if one arrives for something you did not start, do not enter it and tell us.
4. Confirming things
Seven actions require confirmation with a one-time code: activating your account, sharing your information, submitting a loan request, accepting an offer, authorising a payroll deduction, allowing an application to read your profile, and important changes to your account.
Each confirmation is recorded with the exact wording shown to you, the version of that wording, the time, and the lender and loan request it applied to. That record cannot be edited or deleted afterwards by anyone, and you can retrieve it from your account at any time.
5. Your information
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you provide. Evidence you upload must be genuine and yours. Providing false information may result in your account being suspended, and may be reported to the lenders and employers who relied on it.
If something in your record is wrong, raise a dispute. It is routed to whoever is responsible for the information, and the investigation and outcome are recorded. A correction is added beside the original rather than replacing it.
6. Scores and offers
A CreditRefPro Score is an assessment of documented affordability. It is not a decision, and a CreditRefPro Score does not guarantee approval, an interest rate, or a particular loan amount.
No offer is ever issued automatically on a score. Lenders decide independently whether to make an offer and on what terms, and may apply requirements of their own. You may accept one offer or decline all of them; nothing obliges you to accept any.
7. Repayment and deductions
A payroll deduction happens only where you have confirmed an authorisation for it. If no authorisation is on file, no deduction is made. If you withdraw it, deductions stop.
Payroll deduction is one repayment route among several and is available to eligible wage earners through participating employers. Other borrowers repay by a method established by their lender. Withdrawing a deduction authorisation ends the deduction; it does not end the debt, which remains a matter between you and your lender.
8. Fees
Platform fees are set per market and per participant and are shown before anything is charged. A fee is a statement of what is owed; collection happens through an external payment provider, because the platform holds no funds. What a lender charges for the facility itself is between you and that lender.
9. What you must not do
- Provide information that is not yours or not true
- Use another person’s account, or let anyone use yours
- Try to reach records belonging to another borrower, lender or employer
- Interfere with the platform, its security, or its availability
- Extract data in bulk, by automated means or otherwise, without written agreement
10. Availability
We aim to keep the platform available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. Provider connections — payroll, banking, identity, messaging — can fail for reasons outside our control, and a failure there may delay a score, an offer or a deduction.
11. Responsibility
We are responsible for operating the platform as described. We are not a party to your loan, and we are not responsible for a lender’s decision, its terms, its disbursement or its conduct, nor for an employer’s payroll processing.
The limits of our liability to you, and any exclusions that apply, are governed by governing law and liability position to be confirmed .
12. Ending it
You may close your account at any time. Closing it does not end an existing loan, an authorisation you have given a lender, or your obligations to them.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Records we are required to keep — your audit trail, your consents, the record of your facilities — survive closure, because their whole purpose is to be available afterwards.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. Where a change affects something you have already confirmed, you will be asked to confirm again rather than being taken to have accepted it silently.
14. Law
These terms are governed by governing law and forum to be confirmed .
